In December, several of our Generations folks joined with our 6-12th grade FBG Students to build relationships and break down generational silos. At FBG, we want to be an intergenerational church. “One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.” Psalm 145:4 (CSB).

Legacy Coalition Weekend with Larry Fowler

Founder’s Dinner
Friday, April 11 | 5:30-8:00pm

You are invited to a special evening of inspiration and encouragement for grandparents, featuring Larry Fowler, founder of Legacy Coalition at First Baptist Georgetown. Our meal will be provided by Catering by Mopsie and we'll enjoy Texas BBQ with brisket and chicken, potato salad, beans, cole slaw and bread. Drinks are water and iced tea. Dessert will be banana pudding or peach cobbler.
Larry Fowler has more than 40 years of ministry leadership, including experience as a youth pastor, missionary, staff trainer, international director, and senior executive for Awana. He has authored books on children and family ministry, and is in high demand as a speaker and workshop presenter at conferences. He and his wife Diane live in Riverside, California and have two children and seven grandchildren.

Larry Fowler will be teaching an informal session to equip grandparents in their biblical role as intentional Christian grandparents. Come to enjoy fellowship with other grandparents, brief times of discussion, and practical ways you can impact your family spiritually, and leave a godly legacy for generations to come. The Saturday event is offered at no charge and we encourage you to bring other grandparents.

May 15 | Gathering Potluck & Music by Don Mogle | 5:30-7:30pm | Student Center
Our decorations will feature Spring. We'll enjoy a potluck meal, music by Don Mogle and some encouragement from the Word by Lead Pastor Kevin Ueckert.
June 19 | Feature Film: Sight & Sound - Jesus | 3 & 6pm | FBG Theater E.204
We'll have popcorn and water and will take donations to cover the cost of public viewing of the movie.

Our decorations will be patriotic and our meal will be BBQ. Music will be provided by Western Sonrise and we'll hear the testimony of our Ministry Resident, Reilly McCleskey.

We'll enjoy a catered Tex/Mex meal and music by the Christian Country Music Ministry.

Sunday Adult Classes

Local and Global Missions
It is our desire to meet needs in our community and throughout the world. Annual mission trips in the US and around the globe are planned through our Mobilization ministry. For more info click HERE.
Assisted Living / Homebound Ministry
Phone calls, visits, music, ministry, and communion in the home are offered to those who are unable to get out. Your participation is welcome. For more info click HERE. Since May, 2022 we've been leading a weekly service each Tuesday at 2pm at Grand Living Georgetown, right across the street from our church. Please email if you are interested in serving.
Meals Together

GENERATIONS
The definition of generation is “People born and living about the same time, considered as a group.” Multiple generations attend FBG and it’s our desire to be an intergenerational church, where all the generations get to know each other and worship and serve together. Our Generations Ministry offers opportunities for 55+ and encourages intergenerational ministry and cooperation throughout our church body. We encourage you to use this season of life to wholeheartedly invest in your relationship with Jesus Christ, develop meaningful friendships, and to serve the church body.
